for God so loved the world

I was going to write something about Christmas but realized it was going to end up sounding exactly like what I wrote last year. So here are some new thoughts: for all the distractions, pageantry, and secularization of Christmas, it is still a worthy holiday, drawing our attention - if only tangentially at first - to the birth of the savior of the world. It's the beginning of an amazing story that, when truly believed, can offer hope and redemption for anyone.

And that's something worth being merry about.
